The Institute offers weekly evening classes (Monday to Thursday) starting from 17:00 to 20:00. Full-time classes of 4 weeks per annum are offered each year in March and September. Throughout the duration of full-time classes, examiners are invited to discuss subject matters with students. No attendance fee is charged.
Past examination question papers (questions, suggested solutions and Examiners comments) may also be purchased from the Institute at a minimum fee of N$50-00 per set.
Individual students purchase study materials from the Institute. Purchase of study materials is compulsory. Although classes are optional, only students in possession of study materials are allowed to attend evening and full-time clasess are allowed.
Upon the completion of the first year and second year, the Institute will award students a certificate, and a diploma, respectively. After sucessionfully completing the programme, students will be awarded an Advanced Diploma in Banking.
Students who have demonstrated excellent academic performance throughout the duration of the programme are placed on job attachments within the banking industry. A Job attachment takes place in the second semester of the final year only. The selection of the students is at the discretion of the Institute. Potential students are likely to be employed soon after the successful completion of the program.

The Graduation ceremoney is held once in a year (in April) in Windhoek in which certificates and diplomas, and monetary awards will be awarded to the successful candidates.
Various financial institutions have agreed to sponsor prizes for specific subjects and completion prizes for outstanding performance in the Institute’s examinations.
The first category of prizes would be awarded twice annually to those students who obtain the highest mark in each single subject. To qualify for these prizes the minimum percentage attained must be 70%.
A prospective donor may suggest a person who qualifies to receive an award for consideration by the Council.
